# Define stages

To define presales stages which you will later use in Quotations, you will go to the sales menu.

```

You will see 7 predefined stages, but you can always add new ones or alter the existing ones by editing them. The list also shows you the number of quotations you have in each stage.

The entered stages will be available in the Quotation in the drop-down menu.

Once your quotation is Closed and Won, you can either copy it to a new Quotation or Sales Order.

From the list of your Quotations, you can use the filter option to narrow down the list by any criteria (customer, status, forecast etc.) and generate custom reports.
