# Beginning inventory quantity

To set up beginning inventory in ERPAG, go to:

```
Inventory > Products and services
```

Create a new product using the 'add new' option or open an existing one and go to edit mode, to enable changing.

When you open the wanted product or save the newly created one, you will see a 'set quantity' button on the right-hand side of the screen.

When you click on it, it will open a window where you will be able to set the quantity and stock price for every warehouse you have created in ERPAG.

When you type in the wanted quantity for the wanted warehouse, click on the 'set quantity button' and you will see that the 'on hand' status for this item will change.

Once you exit the window, ERPAG will automatically create a stock adjustment document for this item.

```
Inventory > Stock adjustments
```

This will also be reflected on the stock card of this product.

```
Inventory > Products and services
```

Open the wanted product from the list and use the 'reports' button on the right-hand side of the screen to go to the stock card.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://learn.erpag.com/project/create-new-product-1/begining-inventory-quantity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
