# Localization

You can define the basic information of your company by going to:

Administration > Localization and entering the 'edit' mode.

Here you will be able to define the basic information such as the language of your system that will reflect on the documents you create, the county and time zone, the domestic currency and the metric system your workflow relies upon.

Also, here you will define your basic tax information.

{% hint style="warning" %}
It's important do set up your company information while your database is empty, e.g. before you generate any documents. These changes will not retroactively reflect on any documents created previous to the changes you make!
{% endhint %}

The translation line will give you a preview of the built-in-language and if you are not comfortable with any of the terms within ERPAG, you can easily redefine them by finding them in the list and typing in the term that you want the system to use instead. This change will reflect in all the places that the term is used. When you are done, just click on 'save' and the adjustment will be made. However, you will have to log out and log in again in order to see the changes.
